The mirror of the slave ship that brought the second group of us, it swallowed memories, abilities, things of that nature. When removed from its influence, the effects passed. Then there was the small mirror a number of us found in the goods, ah, stolen from the bank at that time... but that was kept first by Miss Winnifred, and later broken by Lao Five. Suffice to say, it was storing something, much as the... well, something was strange with that lake in Sa-Hareth, the one in which Anurr's rival was claimed to be trapped, what with the memories and people who woke there. Five killed him, for what that's worth, with his sister aiding, and no one else woke up in the waters after that.
Not specifically... but if the hand held mirror also could do that, Miss Winnie is the one who kept it for all those months. I don't know what she could herself do, but you can nod to those she was closer to, and presume there were things. Five rarely places himself close to those who don't benefit him.
I gave my word that I would be sparse with the details. It's not really my story to tell, but - the issue is, one of our number who has been with us a long time has completely forgotten another of our number who, while no longer with us, was for a very long time.
Others among us remember the existence of this missing person, goodness knows I think we all would if asked. Except for this person. Something has tampered with their memory.

It's...complicated. He helped me rescue Eleven, and I'm grateful for that. We've spoken to some extent since then, amiably, and I've gotten the impression he's not trying to murder me specifically, so - that's nice, isn't it?
He's very smart, and he can get things done, and that is very helpful.
